Welcome to the Reception area of the VLE. We hope that you have all had an enjoyable Summer and are ready for the start of an exciting year in Reception. We are looking forward to getting to know you all and hope you will enjoy using all of the activities in our area of the VLE. Our topic this half term is "All Kinds of People". We will begin by thinking about the people in our family and will also look at the people who help us at school. We will then look at the people who help us in the community and hope to have some very exciting visitors! We are hoping for nice weather this half term (!) so please could you provide your children with suncream and a sunhat if necessary and a raincoat (Just in case!). Our PE days are Monday and Fridays. Please could you ensure that your child has a full PE kit in school for those days and that all items of clothing are clearly labelled - this makes a huge difference when we have 30 children changing together! . Please keep sending in your fantastic observations - Nursery really enjoyed reading these and they are make a valuable contribution to your child's assessment profiles. Blank forms can always be found on the parent's noticeboard in class or in the parental letters section, in the Reception class area of the VLE. If you have any ideas, issues or concerns about your child, please see one of the Foundation team - our door is always open. Mrs Thompson and Mrs Edginton
